Hanlie and De Wet got married at Lezar Opstal and I am first going to tell you a bit about this stunning venue situated in Heidelberg.  If you are looking for a farm style wedding venue with lots of elegance and a majestic view of the sun dipping behind a mountain this is definitely the venue for you.  And to top it all off the staff at Lezar Opstal are warm and friendly and the food exquisite.  Willemien and Heleen, thank you!  We loved visiting your beautiful venue once again.

Back to my gorgeous couple Hanlie and De Wet.  I met this stunning couple a year ago at the wedding of Johan & Jacomien;  Hanlie’s sister.  I just love these families, they fit so well together.  Warm and caring are the words that come to mind.  Hanlie and De Wet had a beautiful ceremony in The Klipkerk in Heidelberg.  We took the opportunity to capture some beautiful photographs after the ceremony at the church.  The Klipkerk made for beautiful images.  We planned our route back to Lezar to capture some photographs at the train track.  We got there just in time for a passing train.  Thank you, De Wet and Hanlie, for running to get some photographs of the passing train and then to kiss and interact with the camera as if you had all the time in the word to get to that spot!  We left the train tracks behind just in time to capture gorgeous sunset photos.  Time come to enter the Lezar reception venue and in passing I heard one of the guests mention that this had to be the wedding with the most biltong available 😉

The venue looked stunning.  I loved the Zambuk gifts and the Golden Lion syrup candles, it brought back happy memories from a childhood long gone.  All to soon the day was gone and our time ended with this lovely couple.  With tired feet and happy hearts we left them to celebrate.  I am 100% certain there party lasted till well into the night.
